Nikki Stu,
Welcome.....Nikki stuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01317024430258135189noreply@blogger.comBlogger21125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767409479665836717.post-62461936835445341482013-05-18T13:56:00.001-07:002013-05-18T13:56:24.202-07:00So these are some of my books <br style="clear: both;" />
<br />
<br />
So, as you might know I have got a Kickstarter
going and in a few of the tiers you have the option to choose some of my
books. A few peeps have asked me what they are so I have made a quick
litle guide of you. <br />
<img height="299" src="http://media.tumblr.com/95ee60cee028e0de051f8fcfa0989a0c/tumblr_inline_mn0fxvkb7x1qz4rgp.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<strong>Thank goodness for Herald Owlett vol.1 version 2.0</strong> </div>
This is the first volume of an action adventure comic about a
feathery blue monster called Herald Owlett, who has to fight the evil
Bufu who creates evil shadow-like monsters that like to destroy things.
Think along the lines of a saturday morning cartoon, lots of over the
top fun and adventure. The reason it’s named 2.0 is because I revisited
it a year back - It comes with new pages and a brand new colour section
in the middle.<br />
<img height="299" src="http://media.tumblr.com/519bb3d478c037d0dfdb35d610d874ac/tumblr_inline_mn0g76ilMf1qz4rgp.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<strong>Thank Goodness for Herald Owlett Vol.2</strong></div>
Second part to the story, carries on where vol.1 left off… more lovely fight scenes. This one comes in BnW.<br />
<img height="299" src="http://media.tumblr.com/0d31d3e062880319ae4adc8cfc4f1b1e/tumblr_inline_mn0g9cR6VJ1qz4rgp.jpg" width="640" /><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<strong>Thank goodness for Herald Owlett vol.3 version 2.0</strong></div>
Last part to this story, though the Herald Owlett adventures will
continue. This one is being reprinted at the moment and will be on sale
soon, in BnW and again with four colour pages inside.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<strong>F:art book vol.1</strong></div>
This is a BnW fan art book that me, Lou Ho and Will Kirkby made.
There were only 300 of these made, and each set of 100 has a different
cover, the one I have are the copies with my design. Once these have
gone they will not be reprinted,<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<strong>Antisnow sketchbook 2012</strong></div>
Antisnow is a BnW sketchbook I made containing concept artwork for
both Herald Owlett and Honeydew and Magic. It also contains character
sketches and a small handful of fan art sketches, I only made 200 of
these and they will not be reprinted.<br />
Hope this helps anyone who has been wondering what it is I doNikki stuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01317024430258135189noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767409479665836717.post-10666878201463926772013-03-31T14:56:00.000-07:002013-03-31T14:56:04.020-07:00Getting ready for Kickstarter<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I finally manage to get that darn digital colouring done on this poster design, it took far too long for my liking but it's done. I need to have a little more practise with it before I am happy with it but for now I'll put that on the side as I need to crack on with this Kickstarter stuff. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I should be ( fingers crossed ) launching this at the beginning of May,I am hoping to hit Bristol and MCM comic cons with it,to try and drum up a little more support with it, So with that I am trying to do a few different samples so at least peeps will know what it is they are getting. </div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A fair few of my card art samples and painting samples could do with being a lot more up to date. I manged to make a Nausicca watercolour (I added a little glitter ink to the eyes to make them stand out more), I am also starting a Bioshock card art I said to a friend that I would make her one ( this was about 9 months ago I said that, but better late than never I guess)... I did start version of one ages ago but the reason I probably didn't finish it was because I wasn't too happy with the design. I had an idea on the train a few days ago with a newer version and I am much happier with this one, luckily she gave me the thumbs up to go ahead with it, if I work hard I should be able to have this as a sample for Kickstarter too.</div>

So Came back from LSCC the other day which was ok, a little quite than what I had hoped for but it was lovely to see everyone again and have a little chat with peeps to catch up on stuff that I had missed.<br />
The feedback I got from peeps was everyone asking what I had been up to, then me realising that I haven't been updating anything.<br />
<br />
So to combat that here is a little something I am working on, hopefully some sort of cover for Honeydew and Magic when that comes out, I haven't finished it just yet but here is what I have done so far, I am having a go at digital colouring in, not really great at it thus it's taking me a little longer than normal but fingers crossed it will look ok...I hope.<br />

In the process of the move I got a tiny bit of a cold which meant that I have been feeling extra tired so not been able to do many big pieces of work, I have been doing some text stuff on the computer which is the most tedious thing to do, I'm not a fan of text editing but hopefully once it's done that's it for a while. I have also been working on Honeydew which is coming along, still editing bits here and there but almost finished drawing it, just need to solider on through it, going to start getting quotes for it and should be ready in a few months, I am aiming for May/June for it so it will be nice summer release, there may be a chance that I would be Kickstarting it, so having a little look at what extra bit's to put in with it.... but I'll keep ya posted on that.<br />
Oh also I made Rob a little Samus picture of Metroid, it's one of his fave Nintendo series and he has a nice collection of Zac Gorman prints based on Zelda so I thought I would carry on the theme with Nintendo, I keep meaning to take a process video of things like this but forget, I would love to do a video of some sorts just to show how long these things can take, I am hoping the next one will be a Fez picture, I am planning that one out now!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
But just wanted to keep this post a little short but just letting peeps know that I am working on comics, the next Expo I should be at will be the LSCC in London on the 23rd-24th of Feb, hopefully I'll have comics re-printed by then! </div>

<br />
<br />
I have changed jobs to which there has been a lot of training to do (still doing some to be fair) and with it getting ever so closer to Christmas the shops have been extra busy, so much so I have been doing a fair few hours these past couple of weeks. It doesn't mean that I haven't stop drawing it just means I haven't been doing as much as I would have like, but hey Christmas is nearly here so it will get much quieter soon.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKqacXxFWHVOqlTXn2ULg9hbaPDi2BCz1h8fN4HSa03OzR4mZKRUeXmaH0min-A363LEYE-cYiiCoaKeAdv31siCx4Pqhm8VLS9dH88xfK2-c7GWDoh9h0djaq5hXuoBW99Qh7yfsaRq-z/s1600/bufu+cover+with+title+DA.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKqacXxFWHVOqlTXn2ULg9hbaPDi2BCz1h8fN4HSa03OzR4mZKRUeXmaH0min-A363LEYE-cYiiCoaKeAdv31siCx4Pqhm8VLS9dH88xfK2-c7GWDoh9h0djaq5hXuoBW99Qh7yfsaRq-z/s400/bufu+cover+with+title+DA.jpg" style="cursor: move;" width="400" /></a> So apart from a few cons I have been busy on with a few little projects, The first are a few commissions for Christmas, (I'll post them up soon as some are gifts for peeps and we wouldn't want to spoil them) so been doing them in between shifts, I also brought out the little sketch book for MCM and Thought Bubble which went down OK, I know it's not to everyones taste but I kind of wanted to bring something out seeing as I wouldn't be able to get Honeydew out.<br />
<br />
Speaking of Honeydew, I had originally wanted to get it out for Thought Bubble at the latest, but with things going how they were I really didn't want to get it rushed out so I have put it back till next year, what pages I had designed I am now re-drawing. I had made some slight changes to clothes and little things here and there which were fine at first till I realised that it affected the whole comic. (Boo) So the plan maybe to get a Kickstarter going for it maybe mid 2013, get some sort of cool little extras to go with it too and see what happens. Gives me some time to have a little think and see what I really want to do.<br />
<br />
I also need to re-print Vol.1 of Herald and Vol.3 which is good but again it's going to cost a fair few pennies so will be putting that on hold, I need to go through them and get rid of some spelling and grammar mistakes but may do another cover for three ( it doesn't fit with vol.1 and more) but that is just a minor thing I ponder over....<br />
<br />
The main thing I wanted to say is a big Thank you to everyone, thanks to everyone who buys my comics and still keeps on buying them, I really enjoy getting feedback off you and hearing what you think of my comics, you guys are awesome. Have a good Christmas everyone!!!! (probs won't post now till the New Year)Nikki stuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01317024430258135189noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767409479665836717.post-50950497317891952332012-09-26T03:13:00.002-07:002012-09-26T03:13:35.740-07:00....<div style="text-align: center;">
Wow, I hadn't realised that the last post I did was from the Paris Expo, that really isn't good. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />I've been working away at things and have one or two things to show for it but nothing much. I have been working on trying to get my new comic Honeydew and Magic out for this year, which was going well until I had a few awesome little projects to do. I also really didn't want to rush it and make a hack job of it so sorry to say I'll have to put it back to the beginning of next year, but hopefully it will be of a better standard and in full colour.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was asked a while back to do a little picture for Jon who is a super chap and does a lovely little series called <a href="http://www.jonlock.com/" target="_blank">Afterlife.inc</a>,
if your going to Thought Bubble this year you will be able to pick up
the new book there which I would recommend, there are some sweet little
story's in it. But any way I did him a little drawing of his guy Jack
which I'm quite chuffed with</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm3q9EI_Xk0nRnybyuqQPq6yIoK99t_oJPS77Ua-JbQK_N1AFXzDR9-4Wr7V-Lqfpb4mf8wWEpPoA8jXpaY2c61YrvevRIkyusbACaAiYkG3WBrlLEr-LCOXvwVpZLZa1ri-Ta7LhJTVWc/s640/niiki+stu+afterlife+inc+piccy+smaller+version.jpg" width="452" /> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have also been working on a film poster for an exhibition about horror films, you can find out more info <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/262622497173795/" target="_blank">here</a>, but if you are in the Sheffield area in the next month or so pop into the showroom and have a little lookie. I got to do An American Werewolf in London which I really didn't think would go so well at first but really did, I am super happy with it because it is something that I wouldn't normally do.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuV5flQWYdFhAUMPIU2jWbF6-i9n_k5KS_yOQGyjpr8mxD-0c98pwiMb4oLdm-Fo89tUm0MnYxScqPBvZkyor0yBRJcFpGiyvqyTI341cCIWpLHbcUdwayeQNDGYSLQk0HwXZKJBG0Luv2/s1600/werewolf+picture+nikki+stu+small+version.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuV5flQWYdFhAUMPIU2jWbF6-i9n_k5KS_yOQGyjpr8mxD-0c98pwiMb4oLdm-Fo89tUm0MnYxScqPBvZkyor0yBRJcFpGiyvqyTI341cCIWpLHbcUdwayeQNDGYSLQk0HwXZKJBG0Luv2/s640/werewolf+picture+nikki+stu+small+version.jpg" width="454" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But to finish off, If anyone is going to Mcm expo or Thought Bubble you should be able to pick up a sketch book off me, it'll just be full of ideas and whatnot that may or may not see the light of day, just a fun little extra for my table really. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So it's been a while since my last post but I had been slowly getting ready for the Paris expo and starting a new job, (I needed a new job so I can get moneys together and print stuff, it's hard living on the money from a four hour job, but I won't go on about that too much)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anywho, Paris con was a blast... I have never been to a con as big as this and never been to one with so much goodies, I'll go on about the con itself in another post, but let me show you all the amazing book I got. It's worth just going to France just to pick up lovely books, I got a few but everyone else who I went with brought so much more than me (which is both a good thing and a bad thing).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
OK so first of is Time Killers, This won't be for everyone but I really like her covers to Blue Exorcist and the Manga isn't half bad either ( I've been wanting a new Manga to get into, I was reading Naruto and Bleach but lost interest in them a few years back).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Time Killers is a group of short stories in one book with (what I think) is an idea that lead on to be Blue Exorcist.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioaXLVQ6pT2aoFF57wmFMaRYRSNX1Wz-lf8Q_IMQ-QjBib1HPIpKVizFMYjsZ7hG04poYSzaahk5He7f_Bn1pzrP-tpTQZG2YkGMvnVGPRNd-oiv8vFP83WQ7SCSXeh9CHAA8I_ZRrJ1QQ/s400/IMG_0518.JPG" width="266" /> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bearing in mind that the whole book is in French and I don't speak or read a work of it, you can tell what is going off fairly well, her characters are very nice and there is a lovely level of detail through out, (some of the boys have elements which repeat just a little, but I don't mind), thanks to Will for finding this for me,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi79YvgAojrqslnsDMpNbGuW9KPmmn6XqfumkurMOwzAG6zwnIjPIAosuiZnMDGSkIt-RD2scvyinslQU6h1FtwahA_mNQ7_qHXA8pvDvOUSnaVqe0OraFCGglYZnLMKMb9J0tAIK9CQqoT/s1600/IMG_0519.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="522" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi79YvgAojrqslnsDMpNbGuW9KPmmn6XqfumkurMOwzAG6zwnIjPIAosuiZnMDGSkIt-RD2scvyinslQU6h1FtwahA_mNQ7_qHXA8pvDvOUSnaVqe0OraFCGglYZnLMKMb9J0tAIK9CQqoT/s640/IMG_0519.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Debaser was one French type Manga that everyone had picked up at Paris con last year and said nothing but good things about it, like an idiot I forgot to get one but was given a copy cause Will had already got this volume.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjigBX0UM4oRwKVomNkqh6Af5axuAJxIXkHueLH-1BhlBVDVZ6BrdhRbE9G2cLZ_JB7c_x-4tbGhexqCYluTpxr-kbVse5VO2QYaIgtVotpsADlFbi3Jmaox6hcPgGZYRoBLLlpBYWU0OI5/s1600/IMG_0521.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjigBX0UM4oRwKVomNkqh6Af5axuAJxIXkHueLH-1BhlBVDVZ6BrdhRbE9G2cLZ_JB7c_x-4tbGhexqCYluTpxr-kbVse5VO2QYaIgtVotpsADlFbi3Jmaox6hcPgGZYRoBLLlpBYWU0OI5/s400/IMG_0521.JPG" width="258" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Debaser has A LOT of energy running through it, lots of nice characters and nice shots through out the book (plus some squishy boobs), I'm keeping an eye out for an English copy but worth a pick up for sure. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3TXLgm8_zqbRUGoOfTTWTfiakqlci7uagiEtX_5iSb0GatiL0XA8JGnC3FtW29BuouLqXYU5c9HtAWJjzpf_J71B98BGJfMLSKT7HLELu3_ypZLpqs4dx7F6ZyvFqkNU0qjlfaVxrXJBN/s1600/IMG_0522.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="506" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3TXLgm8_zqbRUGoOfTTWTfiakqlci7uagiEtX_5iSb0GatiL0XA8JGnC3FtW29BuouLqXYU5c9HtAWJjzpf_J71B98BGJfMLSKT7HLELu3_ypZLpqs4dx7F6ZyvFqkNU0qjlfaVxrXJBN/s640/IMG_0522.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had seen Ojingogo a while back on the forbidden Planet blog ages ago and was meaning to pick it up, It had totally slip my mind till I spotted it in a small comic shop for only 4 euro, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB8O4INCbg5lwbNX0h0qArZ53eYCh7PvV6nb-cfePFIxFB8DKadItIVbxJ0XOY69MeMOzm0tNaLFvsT8J5eZ5FG58cQ0RZjVXqUEFUzryPw6BrkJ4CuQz7gmLe9M_UK6M6OUMYyWUuJPHw/s1600/IMG_0524.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB8O4INCbg5lwbNX0h0qArZ53eYCh7PvV6nb-cfePFIxFB8DKadItIVbxJ0XOY69MeMOzm0tNaLFvsT8J5eZ5FG58cQ0RZjVXqUEFUzryPw6BrkJ4CuQz7gmLe9M_UK6M6OUMYyWUuJPHw/s400/IMG_0524.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ojingogo doesn't have much text and what text it does have is easy enough to get the idea of it, I know you can get this in the UK but for 4 Euros it was worth a buy, some really nice spreads in this as well (one of my faves is this fish one)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4YszuCTpRb_jYF2sPERjh39JBV9T8xwEP81zHUcWKhPnJnX79Pi5i0ckI1PE9VD1asDBZ1laKb4G6UEq2ft2xLF0XKkJpx8zCGoBdWqCdLIw3NkTXIT7GX1KvUJaimAlu3z6vt5JOlt4B/s1600/IMG_0526.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4YszuCTpRb_jYF2sPERjh39JBV9T8xwEP81zHUcWKhPnJnX79Pi5i0ckI1PE9VD1asDBZ1laKb4G6UEq2ft2xLF0XKkJpx8zCGoBdWqCdLIw3NkTXIT7GX1KvUJaimAlu3z6vt5JOlt4B/s640/IMG_0526.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I got Anguille & Baldaquin from the comic con, but it was the last copy I could find... they may have put others out the rest of the Con but I only came across this again once and it was second hand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigLQVQ2ecJUWGFIcHLvJiWyKs1q5gesRmTbj4AA9hbPaXklLD73mzU_r6XJZKbYH5tVYibYeC6iXN72Dz24ZhC_uVIrdHLwbmoEJ78x9yoI0UVB-25FbFEvlM68u75SMB6L26tUq03nq2e/s1600/IMG_0527.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigLQVQ2ecJUWGFIcHLvJiWyKs1q5gesRmTbj4AA9hbPaXklLD73mzU_r6XJZKbYH5tVYibYeC6iXN72Dz24ZhC_uVIrdHLwbmoEJ78x9yoI0UVB-25FbFEvlM68u75SMB6L26tUq03nq2e/s640/IMG_0527.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was firstly taken in by the cover, it's a lovely thick hardback with an off white finish to the pages, I loved the pencil line work and soft shading, upon looking inside I wasn't disappointed, there are a lot of lovely coloured pencil drawn pages (which I am finding out I am a sucker for), a little different from the rest and super happy I got the last one. If your a fan of Adventure time and other such fun cartoons I think you will like.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikSXZ62HExlo3zPysrqfEQNAFWKa4eypMqy-aosLZV3ESVlQwe9XJ1zoL3RO4Z0H8qHGn2tF2v_-u6l_fYQ4HzP3h6YhZ_QEUz0GoMbGv2AagQ5ti9mhuw1dIij_zf1j9vp70C7c-SckyL/s1600/IMG_0529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikSXZ62HExlo3zPysrqfEQNAFWKa4eypMqy-aosLZV3ESVlQwe9XJ1zoL3RO4Z0H8qHGn2tF2v_-u6l_fYQ4HzP3h6YhZ_QEUz0GoMbGv2AagQ5ti9mhuw1dIij_zf1j9vp70C7c-SckyL/s640/IMG_0529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the start of young adventure books I picked up, I'm wanting to do something like these so to me as well as being great books they are also top-notch research.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was first drawn in by the colourful cover of Elinor & Jack, I really liked the shadowy monster on the front combined with the dragon train so I gave it a try.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuEYc2Dw-elPuRQddLiagU-y_p98PWLwJDW2FhaINcEhJ2NoavSd2ZvTyfkjeNPzP-gsWn1Vttis9riUr15yrRyMdFEA_ph7HXkm0SCqsJGlxwnEjwPMgxSE_3dDYVpZjmEww_CQBx83Hj/s1600/IMG_0530.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuEYc2Dw-elPuRQddLiagU-y_p98PWLwJDW2FhaINcEhJ2NoavSd2ZvTyfkjeNPzP-gsWn1Vttis9riUr15yrRyMdFEA_ph7HXkm0SCqsJGlxwnEjwPMgxSE_3dDYVpZjmEww_CQBx83Hj/s400/IMG_0530.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
From what I make out, a young girl goes on an adventure to a strange land, has fun and japes along the way whilst growing as a person, but there are some lovely little ideas, one that stuck with me was she toasted a cheeseburger on a campfire and shared it out with the gang, only for them to spit it out saying it was horrible, Fun little things like that.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifCJYNGkvPFIMjPvo_2VFsTZC4gW-8BDPQfRZs-RQYV6xNLQ-fZK7AfUunpBOZ2XnczxY5UOtZogSz2jmeDJIsliJChHAuZV6kIYb7EfPdMV3DdRXxgZsll5anY8B-sNIZ0PhB1QeZMBR-/s1600/IMG_0532.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifCJYNGkvPFIMjPvo_2VFsTZC4gW-8BDPQfRZs-RQYV6xNLQ-fZK7AfUunpBOZ2XnczxY5UOtZogSz2jmeDJIsliJChHAuZV6kIYb7EfPdMV3DdRXxgZsll5anY8B-sNIZ0PhB1QeZMBR-/s640/IMG_0532.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Malie & Catastrophe was one of the weakest of the lot, but has a few fun ideas. I picked it up for 5 Euros so not too worried that it's not 100%, but what I do like is some of the layout and room shots.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMSQMym1P5qQpIXcyE-Xr3AWK_bol-g2oBrtPwh5O4DkHs4QYW2j6RHEzLF4_BBHKG278DaaAknIva6ugSulQYwwrkf6_Ifxq_mgsSSN65md_-f7Qh0vlu3dnp7-uDFh8bEmJ8M-SdteK5/s1600/IMG_0533.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMSQMym1P5qQpIXcyE-Xr3AWK_bol-g2oBrtPwh5O4DkHs4QYW2j6RHEzLF4_BBHKG278DaaAknIva6ugSulQYwwrkf6_Ifxq_mgsSSN65md_-f7Qh0vlu3dnp7-uDFh8bEmJ8M-SdteK5/s400/IMG_0533.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There is a nice use of colours through out, maybe if I was the target audience and read French then It would shine a little more but I am still quite happy with this little find.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8fdXEflkWd_QAMa2rdh4dWa8TcsGeL9YagFOodkCi0S88jWx44GVHdQz75zEC04arTtQ1ntPh3-GGD8A10bkWxiiYw_7slo6P7a56ygmak8ohkGOdizBls2wYvWRC6wV2zCFS-SkpNXal/s1600/IMG_0534.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8fdXEflkWd_QAMa2rdh4dWa8TcsGeL9YagFOodkCi0S88jWx44GVHdQz75zEC04arTtQ1ntPh3-GGD8A10bkWxiiYw_7slo6P7a56ygmak8ohkGOdizBls2wYvWRC6wV2zCFS-SkpNXal/s640/IMG_0534.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Zblu cops was one of the first books I picked up, and it is hilarious... again it is french through out but the expressions and movement from the characters make it really easy to follow, I was going to pick up volume one but saw that volume two had a better cover.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXKxH91skkN92IatzueSvZYqT_p2Q9bU2oK8qP98ePRh1G927ATcdRO0ECsEAvTbRZxI-7IxwL1ExtDC4owcLTCDCPrl3hABKhAa8BW2tUuyS22uHdsi1pOHMlf4AT84V_DuHAzPqyiXqz/s1600/IMG_0536.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXKxH91skkN92IatzueSvZYqT_p2Q9bU2oK8qP98ePRh1G927ATcdRO0ECsEAvTbRZxI-7IxwL1ExtDC4owcLTCDCPrl3hABKhAa8BW2tUuyS22uHdsi1pOHMlf4AT84V_DuHAzPqyiXqz/s400/IMG_0536.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Some really good characters in this book, each one is just a little bit over the top for their personality but so funny as well, not to spoil it too much but the main chap has a funny to-do with a playmobile figure, I laughed when I realised what was going off.</div>

The reason I got this one was again nice pencil work but it has some really nice shots of being underwater which I find hard to pull off, plus some nice panel layout too.</div>

This one was another bargain bin purchase ( I think it was because it was damaged but the damage to it is so minimal I didn't notice it till yesterday), only cost me 4 euros.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a super little book but it is so much fun, the world and characters are really squat and bendy apart from this one character who the chaps meet who is very realistically drawn through out, but it all works really well, it's a strange mix of cartoon type things things with realistic world elements thrown in.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
It's a simple idea, the world to start off with is grey and boring until the little girl shows up and makes things colourful again. what makes this is her expression, they are funny and whimsical through out, almost as funny as the faces in Yotsuba & but the elements of colour make it a nice little package.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This was the last book I picked up, it has so many different elements to it that I had to pick it up, it is really quite a pretty little book. It is full of strange animal creatures, big floating machinery and a good mixture of different weather patterns.</div>

It's like a strange mix of Spirited away, Avatar (the last air bender), the last unicorn, summer wars and lots of other cartoon series that I just can't put my finger on, But it is beautiful. I will defo be using this as an inspiration kick in the face.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I had been to Paris in the past and not got on with it too well but this trip has defo made me want to go back.</div>Nikki stuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01317024430258135189noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767409479665836717.post-66374957690250813592012-05-31T14:56:00.000-07:002012-05-31T14:56:06.552-07:00Catch up<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh dear me, I can't believe it has been that long since I last posted, I've been to a few comic cons this month and have been busy putting together some of my new comics, planning them out and what-not. But I'll not talk about it all in this post I'll try and do some small snippy blogs about art work and such.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But I'll talk about cons the two cons that I went to this month, before I forget...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So first off I went to Bristol comic con, which overall was very quite (which everyone else seems to say), but I had a good time...It was nice to catch up with everyone and see what they had been up to, I think it was because it was so close to Kapow comic con (which is set in London)... but I forgot to take my camera so I don't have any pictures to show. I only just managed to cover cost on this con, I'll just have to see if it happens next year.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next up was MCM expo, which overall had a mixed response, although it was the busiest I had ever seen it a lot of comic peeps say that they didn't do as well as they could have done, I don't know if it was down to layout (the comics village seemed to be shoved all over the place, and there was hardly any room to move behind the tables) or there was just too much going off in one area but I feel like I have missed one or two peeps who where at expo.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I my self did good, I got a nice number of new punters for Herald Owlett and I sold my original Journey Cardart, Thank you to everyone who dropped by and said hi, here is the lucky chap with his nice new Journey art (and his Link friend too) sorry but like an silly moo I forgot to ask the chap his name, I'm no good talking to peeps!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also managed to do some original art on the day, I did do a Marceline drawn card art but forgot to take a picture of it, I did manage (at the last min) to get a picture of my version of the monsters from Attack the block, thank you lady for giving them a good home!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I did a couple of doodles for peeps who brought or traded Herald Owlett, these are the ones I remembered to take piccys of ( I am so rubbish at doing things like this)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But apart from that, it was a very fun weekend, I brought lots of things (which I'll put on real soon) so now I have new material to keep me going for about a month or so, the good thing about the con tho is I now have a bit of energy to do Honeydew and Magic, with a few other factors lining up I may get it done for next MCM, but I'll keep you updated if anything happens.</div>

<br />
So to start things off, I had another lovely person buy a bunch of my comics so for them I painted an nice little watercolour of ol' Bufu, I've not dabbled too much with that media but I've come across some really nice piece done with it, I never really thought of using them so I dusted of my set and had a go with them, they are really nice just to use and knock some ideas for colour practise. I do hope the chap who got the Bufu picture didn't mind it being too crude.<br />
<br />
From that if you didn't already hear, I've had my little Herald comics<a href="http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/2012/thank-goodness-for-herald-owlett/" target="_blank"> reviewed over at the Forbidden planet </a>Blog, Thank you so much Richard for doing it, this just pushes me to do better next time!!!!<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAxb0GwbSgiBvdcG4y0AUl4WkCW1xpA3BzwFhXgAJ1ff872mK3FehSdxTEWaW3dM09-LuPmprpTbbC0vmqBpOY1YniTmu6LybW4LRwflVy59TAbjVRSHAeCuuy7w-a7zHkiHS84g7wIA1O/s1600/rin+blue+exorsits+fan+book.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAxb0GwbSgiBvdcG4y0AUl4WkCW1xpA3BzwFhXgAJ1ff872mK3FehSdxTEWaW3dM09-LuPmprpTbbC0vmqBpOY1YniTmu6LybW4LRwflVy59TAbjVRSHAeCuuy7w-a7zHkiHS84g7wIA1O/s640/rin+blue+exorsits+fan+book.jpg" width="464" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've also been looking through some of my stuff that I am supposed to be doing for this book for France and I pretty much hate it all, This one being one of them, it's fine as a doodle piece but I don't think I am, going to put it in the final version, but I've managed to finish my Miku picture just in the process of moving it from one computer to another. Plus I have been working on some more card art, (as seen below) a few ideas I've been doing and trying to get them finished off, as always I start one and then move onto something else.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The one idea thou I would like to get done before MCM (the one on the left) is to do a really nice card art of Journey, that game is so nice and lush and although it is a short game I would recommend it to you to play, even if it is just for the artwork itself, I can't say how lovely it is but if you do play on it, the shiney sand section just took my breath away, one of the best games I've played so far, ans I have seen some super fan art for it, It won't be as nice as the game itself but I really am aiming to get a card art and print done for the next bunch of cons (I've got to have something new, I guess)... Just going through Mass Effect 3, we'll see how that pans out.Nikki stuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01317024430258135189noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767409479665836717.post-4951330328522750902012-04-05T03:50:00.005-07:002012-04-05T03:50:51.506-07:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I've had a couple of lovely peeps buy a set Thank goodness for Herald Owlett of my Etsy account, so I drew them some little Herald pictures which I think I'm going to do now, so if you go to <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/Submarinecoat" target="_blank"><u><b>MY SHOP</b></u></a> I'll do you a hand drawn picture if you buy the pack. Lovely stuff.</div>

<br />I also thought I would put up a day by day trail of that Herald card art I did, nothing really of interest but they do take a long time, pretty much took me three days solid to do something as simple as this, I would love to get to the level the <a href="http://britsketch.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Brittney Lee</a> does but that is going to take a lot of practise.</div>

Oh also I thought I would post up the progress of the F.ART book me,Will and Lou are doing, it slow work on my end but I've finished inking My Miku picture, I really did try to get a cute one of her done but had a bit of a rubbish turn out, I did a little (what i like to call) Bubblegum punk one of her and was happy with it (let's see how long this last), but I'm finding I'm happy with it for a day then hate it the next...which is just a little frustrating... but I'll give this a little colour and see what will happen with it...I'm thing of Bright electric colours for this and acid greens, you know the stuff that really burns your eyes...<br />

<br />Blimey it seems like ages since I posted on here, Prob well over a month now... I've wanted to write one but with my writing skills it really takes me a long time to get things right. I'm working on it but please bear with me, I'll get my ass into gear.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So it's not all doom and gloom, I have actually been doing some work, I have... honest, since Cardiff I've been slowly planning out Honeydew and Magic, although I'll have to put this back cause with work going down the pot-hole I won't have the cash to print it so will have to be later on in the year when I get myself a new job, but I have been doodling some of the characters just to get a feel of the type of clothes to wear and other bits and bobs.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3lHcP1KFPLiZ_nqHrlobrdO2FWtD8nbUDOQEmfzKRmnX3FFP4V4Ec6LhO2OYmsCzS91BzO_kFdDCVT0miRzPtLSvbzZmDatYfJFel5SgWl3rRwvk2P02h61bEJB1bwuiz2XrImaf9ro_U/s1600/Goji+jumping+blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3lHcP1KFPLiZ_nqHrlobrdO2FWtD8nbUDOQEmfzKRmnX3FFP4V4Ec6LhO2OYmsCzS91BzO_kFdDCVT0miRzPtLSvbzZmDatYfJFel5SgWl3rRwvk2P02h61bEJB1bwuiz2XrImaf9ro_U/s640/Goji+jumping+blog.jpg" width="372" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I did a little doodle of Goji, I can't resist to do some sort of action shot of him, he's really bendy and fun to draw, I was thinking of colouring him in but I've can only do photoshop in short stages before I get really tired, I've been working on a couple of different projects on Photohop so It's just nice to get down with some pencils and draw.</div>
<br />
Oh one thing I forgot to mention on this, was in the back of Herald Owlett Version 2.0, I did a little advert for Honeydew and Magic, Here at least you get to see all of the main hero characters in the story, I've changed the colours and looks of them slightly like I said... pretty chuffed with the colours in the poster so here is hoping that the comic can stay the same too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8QsqTiw93QDCPJamCrMi1Ta0KqHibOChy9asYJvAlTs1GhOlsgxpZGMG__GLCN67yW_WlWVphQESi8rQ3-K6JrKTYDrXVT3To7PMzjSTuVcdPcay3raWKAMp2Bv1zqaR7szVWig7u5P9S/s1600/honeydew+and+magic+advert+vol.1ver2+final+colour.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8QsqTiw93QDCPJamCrMi1Ta0KqHibOChy9asYJvAlTs1GhOlsgxpZGMG__GLCN67yW_WlWVphQESi8rQ3-K6JrKTYDrXVT3To7PMzjSTuVcdPcay3raWKAMp2Bv1zqaR7szVWig7u5P9S/s640/honeydew+and+magic+advert+vol.1ver2+final+colour.jpg" width="448" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Also been doodling some ideas for prints too, I've sold out of the Adventure time print I had so I am planning doing another one hopefully for MCM, but this time it having a few more characters in it, they are quite fun to draw and I also want to put Hot dog Princess in as well (she is my favourite princess), but here is my Marcelline in some duds I made up ( I didn't have a reference at the time so she is a little off) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
It's also been a long time since I've done a collage, I really do enjoy doing them but with the situation at the moment I don't have the space for all the ingredients to make them, I don't have half of my textured card or spray paint, but I thought what the heck I'll give it ago. I recently came across some of<a href="http://britsketch.blogspot.co.uk/"> Brittney Lee's</a> work and was inspired to do some, I would love to try and do something on the same level as that, so here is a little process of one I'm doing at the mo of Herald.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h25/ninjakitty85/?action=view&current=IMG_0198.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="478" src="http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h25/ninjakitty85/IMG_0198.jpg" width="640" /> </a><br />
<br />
Phew, so i'm working on these but I'm also in the process of making a fan book with <a href="http://chamonkee.tumblr.com/">Will</a> and<a href="http://naniiebim.tumblr.com/"> Lou</a> for Japan expo in France, doing a comic page and chapter page for <a href="http://naniiebim.tumblr.com/">Dan and his awesome comic Vibe</a>, make new prints, make new business cards, It's all go really.Nikki stuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01317024430258135189noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767409479665836717.post-61709510084517269302012-02-27T14:10:00.000-08:002012-02-27T14:10:03.327-08:00Cardiff con 2012<div style="text-align: center;">
Bloody hell it's good to get back into the swing of things with comic cons, I always come back from them tired but they are very much worth it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So this was the first time going to Cardiff con (and Cardiff as a whole), and I must say it was very good..it is quite a young con (this being the second year it was on) so it wasn't bursting but there always seemed to be a good flow of people walking past. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First of all thanks to Adam for putting us all up for the weekend, and as always thanks to Lou and Will for the comic company and fun times, 100% fun times.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
So I managed to sell quite a few prints at this con which was good, that means I can get some new ones done... (long overdue), but through out the day we had episodes of adventure time playing on Adams ipad, this would lead us to make adventure time art, Will started it off and I added my version of Bubblegum Princess...(as seen above),</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And then we got Lou to add Jake, Finn and Lady Rainacorn (she did well to say that we took up all the room), some lucky punter picked it up for £10, he got a bargain there...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I also (on the second day) drew a picture of the first boss in Herald Owlett, on some card out of a collection of Sharpies I had in my pencil case, not too bad I think although nobody brought it so I'll prob be putting it up on my shop or selling it another con, whichever comes first really</div>

Apart from those I didn't really take many pictures ( I always forget) but here are some of comics that we had, Cardiff con was great and I would happily do it again next year, I didn't get to meet everyone I wanted (certain people are always busy, and I don't want to interrupt them or get in the way) but I also hope that everyone that went had a great time too,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm going to catch up on some well needed sleep and crack on with some more comics,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
So it's finally done, it's off to the printers so all being well Herald Owlett ver 2.0 will be in my hands very soon.<br />
I've been pretty much working solid all weekend to get this done, yet again I left it to the last minute but hopefully it'll be here soon, WOOO...<br />
<br />
So if your going off to Cardiff con this weekend come by my table and come and pick yourself up a copy, I've jazzed up a few pages in it and added a little five page prologue hopefully to shed a little light on things but if not it's an extra five pages in there.<br />
<br />
If you can't make it I will be selling it on my shop and taking it to future cons to, So far as I know the next one after that will be Bristol comic con and Mcm expo in May, plus other cons in the future.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBU3vCldSKFsfVJFM0weqWlp1pR7G7w0OOA4YVLQwSslodPMjufFjORqF7WSaL8eamwibR4r8abadNzmYkluP2E8QjnQVZ2tiPHOF5wEKYh_DJ11rop5e76B85FDdiAqEEov2QfK9fD-11/s1600/2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBU3vCldSKFsfVJFM0weqWlp1pR7G7w0OOA4YVLQwSslodPMjufFjORqF7WSaL8eamwibR4r8abadNzmYkluP2E8QjnQVZ2tiPHOF5wEKYh_DJ11rop5e76B85FDdiAqEEov2QfK9fD-11/s640/2.png" width="452" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So here is a little example of one of the changes I've made, the top one is from the original copy that I did about three years ago and the new one is the one I updated, having gone through some of these herald has changed ever so slightly, and it's nice to finally see the comic in colour.<br />
<br />
<br />
So hopefully I'll see some of you at Cardiff, I'll be doing commissions all day so If anyone would like any doing come by and say hi, It's just nice to see peeps anyway,<br />
<br />
All the best (^<^) <br />

<br />
Right now I'm on track to getting <b>"Thank goodness for Herald Owlett Vol.1 ver.2"</b> ready for Cardiff comic con, I've set my self a target of how many days I have left so fingers crossed all being well the new version of it will be available, If you can't get it then I'll be putting it up on my shop shortly afterwards... But if anyone was interested in picking it up from me in person then the next con I have down is Bristol in May, I'll be writing a list of cons I'll be at very soon.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4xUWN56UqLS2bAdXMnSAx6RfouzicFZtFx9DToxT9KaqZLKo9bMOpK3eSzeVgOq0g-Uz4hfE0GzYEZLmH4FDMREFPBWV9RNJlHTCd0VF0eawxrqex9n-uhZRhP05eN3ls9kh8mBFwhhyI/s1600/final+cover+taken+through+paint+jpeg+ver2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4xUWN56UqLS2bAdXMnSAx6RfouzicFZtFx9DToxT9KaqZLKo9bMOpK3eSzeVgOq0g-Uz4hfE0GzYEZLmH4FDMREFPBWV9RNJlHTCd0VF0eawxrqex9n-uhZRhP05eN3ls9kh8mBFwhhyI/s400/final+cover+taken+through+paint+jpeg+ver2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I finished doing the cover for it, I took the lettering off because you don't really need to see it, But I was wanting to go for something a little different from the last one, I think I pulled that one off OK, anyway...I've been colouring this image for about 4 days now and I don't want to colour it in any more.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLLbLImMc1dVUsluuK-8zmQKAlqXO9AleNvm-kc2vBKy6DnA4k4exYV5sdOWdRJ8QADm8PDalGfxCC71dI_1gdN5X8l0rOZpMx6wyOPvEkjo2re0LxeNtbmfXfAO-o4HtdLq_TzX_GYwoW/s1600/sherlock2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLLbLImMc1dVUsluuK-8zmQKAlqXO9AleNvm-kc2vBKy6DnA4k4exYV5sdOWdRJ8QADm8PDalGfxCC71dI_1gdN5X8l0rOZpMx6wyOPvEkjo2re0LxeNtbmfXfAO-o4HtdLq_TzX_GYwoW/s640/sherlock2.jpg" width="254" /></a></div>
Also been watching Sherlock over the holidays and really got into it, so had to do a little doodle of the chap, I was thinking of doing some sort of print for MCM in may but I'll see how I am for time, The plan is to try and get Honeydew and magic out for that con....(I had to put it back a little bit more, but I am trying to aim for MCM), but I'll try and update it on here the best I can. <br />
<br />
Anyway keep an eye out and I'll put up some of the old and new pages of Herald up real soon...<br />
Bye...<br />

As with every new year that starts I always find that I need to replace some important kit and this year it is my camera... I can't really complain too much, the Nikon I've had has lasted me a good six years, and that is from it being dragged round comic cons, Japan, countryside and many other places I've been in that time.<br />
<br />
So hopefully within the next few days I'll get my new one so I'll be taking lots of snaps of these super books I've had, I'm pretty sure that this year has been one of the best for the stuff I've been given. It's also been pretty nice having Rob come round to my folks for Chrimbo, all in all it's been a good one.<br />
<br />
So apart from me blabbing on about Christmas and whatnot what else has been going off... well...<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Seeing as just managed to get Thank goodness for Herald Owlett Vol.2 reprinted I find myself in the need to get Vol.1 re-reprinted too, but (and as I have already mentioned in the comic blog) I've lost the files to pages 13 and 14...boo hoo. Not only that I had lost the memory stick with all my tones on so I am unable to colour it in even If I did manage to somehow track down the original artwork.<br />
<br />
But stick with me please, it could be in your interest to hear this..<br />
the plan now is that pages 13 and 14 are going to be re-drawn and in colour, I sat myself down and had a look through vol.1 and ... well, it could do with a make over. I'm wanting to get this volume re-print for hopefully Cardiff comic con leaving me with a month to get this all sorted, but it's not only going to be the pages that are in colour, I'll hopefully add a little prologue of some sorts to it and re-design the cover as well, all being well and it looks nice, as soon as I'm low on stock of the others I'll get all these compiled into a nice book...<br />
So please see this little one as a test pilot for the bigger version, I've not done colour comics yet but this year is going to be the year of colour....yes!!!!<br />
<br />
I am still working on Honeydew and Magic, It's going slower than I had hoped but It's getting there, Fingers crossed and funds being well I'll have this out for the summer, but don't hold me to this.... I'm very poor and also ever so lazy... I'd also like to get a few prints out as well seeing as "The Hunt" has sold out, maybe do a few more game prints and such but we'll see...<br />
<br />
Anywho I'll catch up in a few days and show you these books I've got..<br />

I just thought that I have never had Christmas day with Rob, His family from Japan always come over to England for Christmas but they have just had a little baby so couldn't make it this year.... I think a trip back over there is on the cards, just got to save me some pennies...<br />
<br />
<br />
But apart from that...<br />
I'm working through Honeydew now, I'm still aiming to get it done for Feb/March all being well but I am finding it hard some days to get going with it, to get me in the flow of it all I thought about doing a nice little set of postcards to maybe go with the comic, something I'm working on anyway,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLPQYXg2FgBeD836lqWH9lYhu8jb5CPeOWsFeiaTVJVR1bBg1WgC7Fz9-JIWAM1YpuowaZzwnQ_zLH_LpPw4uJYxgVOepvlfUfZgaalKD7D8vFXgZ8kN6NUUaxuVH5OyjVNH_zrQYhRYXs/s1600/goji+alchamey.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="308" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLPQYXg2FgBeD836lqWH9lYhu8jb5CPeOWsFeiaTVJVR1bBg1WgC7Fz9-JIWAM1YpuowaZzwnQ_zLH_LpPw4uJYxgVOepvlfUfZgaalKD7D8vFXgZ8kN6NUUaxuVH5OyjVNH_zrQYhRYXs/s400/goji+alchamey.jpg" width="400" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7uLm8pLoW1gb1H-_phNJ20qycdFqdenG2HKdgLx13Srbb_LzVl8lexsyoJWjrnEagrQ3uzK-7QhnKroVfVm1dDGLhQ_xREaif7OVbIDWDMTLRSLRENclV0zNZOU441FsAFxXgPbhI9jXQ/s1600/sprout+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7uLm8pLoW1gb1H-_phNJ20qycdFqdenG2HKdgLx13Srbb_LzVl8lexsyoJWjrnEagrQ3uzK-7QhnKroVfVm1dDGLhQ_xREaif7OVbIDWDMTLRSLRENclV0zNZOU441FsAFxXgPbhI9jXQ/s400/sprout+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Saying that I've only drawn Goji and Sprout, I've tried to draw Terra but they all came out poo...<br />
Either way I also ended up drawing a little action shot of Herald fighting Ru-bian, I did whilst watch Mr Show the other day so I was just doing a little doodle...yeah I did it before i re-designed Heralds coat so a little out of date, I have scanned in his new coat but I want to do some colour tests on it first<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I prob will forget to blog before Christmas.....<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I was going to post about Thought Bubble with some pictures of my
loot but my Camera (which was on it's last legs) has finally had it's
day, which is rubbish cause I really don't have the money to buy a new
one...so when I get the stand in camera I'll take some pictures, I also went to a lovely little craft fair and brought A LOT of stuff, so I'll tale some pictures of them and put it all together in a blog.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But in the mean time I'll just put up some more doodles I've been doing over the past couple of days...</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I a lie, I did do this picture a few months back... I'm in the process of colouring it in cause I do still quite like it, </div>

This is a commission I got off a lovely lady, she wanted me to draw some chap from Bleach, To be fair I have seen this guy floating about on the Internet but I stopped reading Bleach at Vol. 13 and just couldn't get back into it, But I did enjoy having ago at drawing him, and it was nice to get the old copic's out again.<br />

So Rob really got into playing Dark souls on his PS3, I really liked some of the armour in it but thought it would be a nice idea if it has sort of bunny armour, I'd seen like dark amour and enchanted armour but not this. As you can see I managed to do the female version but Only got so far with the male version ( just not butch enough) <br />

Nothing too fancy, I was just playing around with markers on colour card, I just really like using white on colour every now and then, <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbphyphenhyphenv_Lj7UApk9kSsCiHrgf28NKTAEt6cBO8iKBApjidoEEFdKfH-OX5_kCcaXoutK2_6fxbAHsNEefeMuSXOaq-uiRcuKwPJ4_y-GI4vhDp7TfddzNdkjmLj6tGBh1NyxIh5y0RbVZu_/s1600/robin+outfits.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbphyphenhyphenv_Lj7UApk9kSsCiHrgf28NKTAEt6cBO8iKBApjidoEEFdKfH-OX5_kCcaXoutK2_6fxbAHsNEefeMuSXOaq-uiRcuKwPJ4_y-GI4vhDp7TfddzNdkjmLj6tGBh1NyxIh5y0RbVZu_/s640/robin+outfits.JPG" width="386" /></a></div>
Oh and this is a re-design that I'm doing on a few of the Herald Owlett characters, I'm half way through doing Herald and about eleven pages in on the next story. Robin might not be a major character in the Owlett-verse but I've had her design now for about two years and she just needs a little tweek here and there, one thing I need to try and get across is that she has burns on her arms but that will be explained in the comic I guess...<br />
<br />
yeah so next time I'll try and get these pictures out, I'll also get some links going tooNikki stuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01317024430258135189noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7767409479665836717.post-72948533982722329062011-11-23T04:05:00.001-08:002011-11-23T04:06:47.028-08:00So I thought I would do this blog in two parts, it's just I have to take pictures of what I brought at Thought Bubble (which was a fraction of what I actually wanted to get) and don't have the camera on me, so I thought I would do the same as I did for MCM and give a run down of each book.<br />
<br />
But for this post I'll give you a lead up and some more doodles I've been doing...<br />
<br />
So I managed to track down some of the sketches I was doing in my spare time at MCM, I've been doing on and off drawings of Beta and chums... I kind off want to keep her going and from what I hear that the new birdsong is almost done (which is looking fab) although saying that I did re-look at all the comic I did for it and I could do with drawing it all again (I hate looking at old comics that I've done), One idea I had with beta was giving her some gaming weapons (here you can see she is sporting a Samus Gun), but it's still up in the air...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTbTm1w0Egw55rrRM6k8RCXN1ffHk3HSISIJtbK6m2o-ep3C81BkQmOuyjKv0dbt2Z5NlykwZQfjp-3jkw1rOX46Drdwete-mIGuVJN5KumMo8urtIDu77vr5fk0j24eOBiazDpqJQV0sc/s1600/beta+mcm+2011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTbTm1w0Egw55rrRM6k8RCXN1ffHk3HSISIJtbK6m2o-ep3C81BkQmOuyjKv0dbt2Z5NlykwZQfjp-3jkw1rOX46Drdwete-mIGuVJN5KumMo8urtIDu77vr5fk0j24eOBiazDpqJQV0sc/s640/beta+mcm+2011.JPG" width="580" /></a></div>
<br />
I am also debating a re-design for Robin, I know she has only been in a few pages of Herald but I've had that design going off for about three years now and I think it needs a little updating so I had a go at some different outfits for her, then realised I don't have and drawings of her with Herald... I did have a bash at some stuff (as you can see here) but then never followed through with it. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4LtGStc-uV8x-YMw9OMnGhbfK9Wo3WKFgVhAO_thBAU_H2U2DmplSgKFy1UXgGP2ELueFqF47TO32fXQbC005UwSKd1HtZ-XLnbl0gQILzYMhxYuMJqUFA-4jEnjtF8OyqNxTU1jJjBX6/s1600/herald+and+robin.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4LtGStc-uV8x-YMw9OMnGhbfK9Wo3WKFgVhAO_thBAU_H2U2DmplSgKFy1UXgGP2ELueFqF47TO32fXQbC005UwSKd1HtZ-XLnbl0gQILzYMhxYuMJqUFA-4jEnjtF8OyqNxTU1jJjBX6/s640/herald+and+robin.JPG" width="512" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I also thought I should add Ninjakitty in with them, I was going to photoshop them all together but then moved on to something else....thus this getting moved down to the bottom of drawings I have that need finishing <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYh2kBuAkelEAhOtN4Qw37Ad9lPO_7lEwYqvktlzeqgENJKEYG3RiCI5Pz3gDJlbS62MShfgmKgCZmQJKQXssBkcx4ygrhhZa5nWBZldWYNQ5wXbBg97_AYlWkUvE0KbNNMy4EEiH6eULb/s1600/ninjakiity+action+pose.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYh2kBuAkelEAhOtN4Qw37Ad9lPO_7lEwYqvktlzeqgENJKEYG3RiCI5Pz3gDJlbS62MShfgmKgCZmQJKQXssBkcx4ygrhhZa5nWBZldWYNQ5wXbBg97_AYlWkUvE0KbNNMy4EEiH6eULb/s640/ninjakiity+action+pose.JPG" width="512" /></a></div>
<br />
And this was some doodles I was doing for the house in Honeydew, I was doing little bits like desks and lamps but then moved onto re-drawing another character I came up with a while back, she maybe a lady who our Goji likes but I'm not 100% on it just yet, but I think she would have a connection with the alchemy bees....not decided just yet.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkkpRpkqZ0pNM8qXDSFLlCb1JPcf4oVmF57-SWU8UXL8-6AQwcqkb58y2x-CrjkXJzllBjI0YI8ahyphenhyphenAppqjrj-bKM7AqviCFuSdmrbJAn0RSCut4tLBSwhJNRQqKlsdT7Av-xnWay7wbE1/s1600/sprout+and+alex+ideas.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkkpRpkqZ0pNM8qXDSFLlCb1JPcf4oVmF57-SWU8UXL8-6AQwcqkb58y2x-CrjkXJzllBjI0YI8ahyphenhyphenAppqjrj-bKM7AqviCFuSdmrbJAn0RSCut4tLBSwhJNRQqKlsdT7Av-xnWay7wbE1/s640/sprout+and+alex+ideas.JPG" width="494" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So yeah that was MCM doodles done, I really only got round to doing one at Thought Bubble but that went to Nich, so I don't have anything to show for that.<br />
<br />
<br /> I'll do quick rundown on how Thought Bubble went next time...but the good news was that I sold out of Vol.1 pf herald and all my posters of Honeydew and Magic went as well, and had some good feedback from the people who got it... so thumbs up for that comic...<br />
<br />
I should really crack on with that now... <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

So trying to make a go off this blogger thing, I'm really am going to TRY and get into the habbit of not post just once a month, But I'm all talk and on guts, BLAH!!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjb8K9Yum8OhkF4-YpsKCQb5eWEJRL-ewxPLDS9MKFWO3IZYi1NU2hTjJGcyq-Gw5GfP761RtW8GnWo4EXyb3lGaoU6d5LlmC-xCyTs_Lqe7mKw-hTT4swwM6h7f7vtaAEjouvCNOeGguN/s1600/tin+tin+ist+draft.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjb8K9Yum8OhkF4-YpsKCQb5eWEJRL-ewxPLDS9MKFWO3IZYi1NU2hTjJGcyq-Gw5GfP761RtW8GnWo4EXyb3lGaoU6d5LlmC-xCyTs_Lqe7mKw-hTT4swwM6h7f7vtaAEjouvCNOeGguN/s640/tin+tin+ist+draft.jpg" width="450" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So to start things off I finally got round to drawing a Tintin picture, I've been wanting to do one for a few days now after having seen the film (which by the way is brilliant), but it wasn't till I got the animated series on DVD that finally pushed me to do it... so this is the first draft of it, I'm hopefully going to take it into Photoshop later and add some colour to it so it won't look compleatly yellow, But pretty chuffed with it to say I just sat down and drew it (there are also a few mistakes in this one).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If it comes out alright I may make it into a print of anyone is interested...I'll see how funds are in my wallet.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOB5yAjsiDiVWVJkKTxGpB4jbh0mXoI3Fi2CmY4rCDLYrbtb9pItzpNuc7-Z4gBUxkHOwwv93NOSn-f1dZLfL3a52fa5MYCO_eSuMqg6QY1D9ZuNbQfwPv1DBvFTbHGZIykhvTurVADv6m/s640/demon+fire+head+first+scan22.jpg" width="320" /> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been drawing a couple of ideas for deomons for my new comic, it's nothing fancy, just having a bit of fun with them, I don't think it'll do anything with these but it is just nice to draw things and not have to worry about them fitting in somewhere.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did want to do some sort of collection with them all together but for now I'm happy with just doing some doodles, although saying that I really enjoyed getting the old copics out and having a little colouring in with this chap.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also thought it might be nice to show you some of the other ideas I had with them, I do like some of the elements that each one has, whilst doing this I've had some ideas of what to do with some of the bosses for Herald Owlett, hopefully if I pull them off right some really fun ideas... don't want to give away too much but for one idea involves a giant metal moon whale...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(oh yeah)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Also didn't really think I would play it but having a little old go with Skyrim, I picked a Wood Elf (I like the idea of being resistant to poision, one of my big down falls in RPG's) and I really liking it, although I'm having the same problem as I did with Fallout 3 in which I love to go of and explore but then go too far out and get slaughted by a wolf or something really pathertic. The one thing I am loving is the nature in Skyrim, I've already come across the Northen lights twice, an amazing thunderstorm, glowing moths, these starnge little fire flys, rabbits , foxes and the dragons are pretty cool too. I was also just walking around and saw a headless horseman (in ghost form) ride past me and then an hour later I saw these mages trying to kill what looked like a ghost bunny (but I can't be sure about that)... Lets just say...it's fun and I've only done one major mission.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So a few weeks back Marian Churchland was selling some artwork on her site, she is one of the artist that I've wanted to get some work off her for ages. It came through the post the other day and ...wow!, it's blown me away at how lovely it is, I scanned the ones that I got in colour so you can see the lovely texture to her work, I'm so happy that I've got my mitts on these. She also very kindly did a drawing of both Herald and Bufu which is to die for, I really can stop looking at these, the marker and line work is so nice. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you do manage to come across her work I would recommend you getting some, it's so refreshing for your peepers. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Also I'm bring out a new full colour comic next called Honeydew and Magic, If your going to Thought Bubble then you can come and pick yourself up a copy up from my table. Don't worry I'm still going to be doing Herald Owlett but I wanted to have a go at doing something in colour, and it would have been easier to start fresh with a new comic.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But I've not really talked about it much so I thought I would give a little run down on who's who's,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So there are three characters to this story who live and work in a magic shop called "Honeydew and Magic", Sprout is the main character to the story (she's the one with the tree branches growing out of her head), Sprout has been living there for about three months now, being a human to start off with she accidentally stole a rather rare tree spirit soul belonging to Goji the owner of the shop.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now she has to live and work in this shop until they can find a way to get the tree spirit out of there.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now that I've mentioned Goji to you I best off talk about him, Goji is the owner of "Honeydew and Magic" (he's the one with the orange horns and the four eyes), he is also the shops alchemist, thus makes a lot of the stuff that they sell on site. Apart from that Goji tends to keep to himself, he isn't too pleased that his tree spirit was stolen, so he has to make do with what he has got.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last off we have Terra, she is the lovely orange monster with the one eye and flat arms. Terra is an old friend of Goji, and help him set up the shop. She is in fact a full trained white mage and doctor although she hasn't worked in that industry for a long time, she helps out Goji in the shop with customer ailments and other such tasks. she has taken a shine to little Sprout and tries to help her out the best she can.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The comic book that comes out next year will go into all this a lot more but I thought it would be best if your knew the characters at least.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm hoing to put up some sketch work of it soon andtry and keep this thing up to date, hopfully with some jollies, If your off to Thought Bubble then come say hi...OK</div>

I know alot of people who where there had new things so I stocked up on as much as I could carry. MCM is a huge event and it so fun too although a very draing event, if you go for the weekend you are goign to sleep very well by the end of it.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

Bless Lou, she always makes such great comics,Jellyfish prince is such a fun and cute little comics with jellyfish init... a self contained story in full colour, a lovely little book. If you haven't got her stuff already then start here, you won't be disappointed.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://hemlock.smackjeeves.com/">Hemlock</a> by Josceline Fenton <br />
This is the third book in the Hemlock series, I already had the other two and was looking forward to getting this, then out of nowhere Josceline pats me on the head and hands me a copy... this voloume is brill and I recommend that you read the series, it full of great charecters and her line work is so lush (she did sell out at MCM but I think she is getting more copies)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://jimround.blogspot.com/">Red Planet Ride</a> By Jim Round<br />
I got Stone Monkey at MCM in May and I really enjoy his style, is charming and run and he draws really good expressions on his charecters, I knew that the second volume Of Red Planet ride was out for this MCM so it was on my radar to pick up.<br />
I read this last night and fell in love with it, it's about a lass who lives on mars, rides a bike and helps nature...all the boxes have been ticked in my opinion, I look forward to reading more of this when it's out.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://warwickjohnsoncadwell.blogspot.com/">Lupinita's guitarra de los muertos</a> By WJC <br />
Yet another stylish comic from WJC, I love his style, it's very diffrent from what I've seen before and i love picking up something new when it comes out, his drawings are just great to look at and this comic is a little gem.<br />
<br />
<u><b>Artwork</b></u><br />
<br />
<br /> <a href="http://ponymonster.deviantart.com/">Ponymonster</a> drew the cute My little pony card and the adventure time card, the way she draws eyes and detail is just great, If you like that sort of thing then please look at her stuff, very colourful.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://sunshee.deviantart.com/"> Sunshee</a> drew me a Herald Owlett which is fab and I also picked up a few cards off her and ...Wow, her work blew me away, it's super charming and the brush work is... well checker her out for yourself cause it is nice.<br />
<br />
I picked up a super little zodiac card off <a href="http://mumurong.tumblr.com/">Mumurong</a>, she has a very interesting style, I really like it, it's crisp and clean but has a old tradional sense about it....very nice.<br />
<br />
All the rest are some fab french art books which where at a very good price, I even got the black cat for free for buying all three of them off him, the book are amazing...I'm hoping to try and get some of the other ones too.<br />
<br />
So I'm resting up and getting ready for Thought Bubble in Leeds which is now a weekend as well, so I'm preety much going to be shattered after that but if your going you can come by and say hi.<br />
